Got into the truck yesterday and some movement caught my eye. There were two turkeys running around the neighborhood lately. Now there are five. One was out of the frame but caught the other four. It use to be you couldn't even get NEAR A WILD TURKEY. Now I've been trying to feed them. They just don't yet seem to get the connection of what I throw at them is FOOD. As you guys say: The penny will drop..........(or something like that.) Lost the sound because I transferred the vid to the computer from the phone by phone instead of a wired conection.

Bless them they don't know about Christmas. Keep feeding them Frankie

Forget Christmas Steve, it's Thanks Giving that these birds need to worry about eh Frankie? One day I will try deep fried Turkey, they say it's very nice.

Tony.

ps. Frankie beat me to it!:)

Snare a few @FRANKIE and I might come down for Thanksgiving Dinner. Never tried wild turkey but deep fried is great @t-tony. Had it for many years when I'd visit my redneck cuzins in Missouri. You would not believe how many Americans burn down their homes on Thanksgiving Day deep frying turkey! The sirens go constantly and several people end up dead or so badly burned they wish they were! So be careful Frankie! JIM

I don't want to kill any wild Turkeys. I would like to be able to feed them without their being afraid of me. I'm working on that now but it's not easy usually I can't get too close to them, however, the other day I was in the back yard trying to figure out how to install rain gutters on a certain section of the house. I was sitting at the back of the house at the picnic table deep in thought about which cuts to make to the material. I had been sitting there for about 15 minutes very deep in thought. I turned my head to my right and saw 2 of them about 8 feet away pecking at the ground for food. When I began to get up, they started to walk away from me slowly. They didn't seem too afraid. I got up and walked away from them so as not to make them nervous. Frankie

I've seen some of those horror stories on TV Jim.

Tony.

Deep frying turkey is a deadly game especially if they haven't completely thawed a frozen one or there's water on or in the bird. Explodes like a bomb and covers everything and everyone with scalding hot oil. My cuz has it down to a science but personally I'd never have one. JIM
