Good turn out today despite the cold breeze. The TR3A was probably my favourite classic of the day.

You must have all gone by the time I got there, but I had a nice chat with the guy who owns this...

Although I don't approve of all the Ferrari logos, I think he has done a superb job of faking it.

I paid my £5, and I'm now a member of the Italian Replica Club, so I may take the Z75 out to a few shows.
Seems to be there are Z3 250 Californias at every turn these days.
The colour is a little 'out there' for me but the fake air filter is a nice touch IMO.

Reminds me...I must order some hydraulic rams for the bonnet from SGS. I will add it to the (long) list.

The Italian Replica Club has a facebook group (invitation only IIRC) which I have access to. Not much goes on there from what I have seen.

FB 🤷‍♂️

I can understand a closed family group sharing private images etc or a business and I'm sure there are others I can't think of. But I just don't understand a closed group of car enthusiasts. I mean what are they discussing that's so private?

Imagine going to a car show and not being allowed to look at the cars unless you join their club.

It's because facebook is absolutely full of 'trolls' and knobheads, so 'special interest' (not that kind!!) groups used to get bombarded with idiots constantly. So some made them private which means there is no-one there. Sort of a rock and a hard place. The joys of facebook.
I HATE facebook with an unholy passion.

That still sort of happens. There are a few car forums that you can't gain access to unless you put your hand in your pocket first. And who is going to pay up front for something they don't know they want to get involved in?
There is still a lot of 'old boys networks' going on with certain car clubs/ forums. They want to be 'exclusive'. But being exclusive online means you will fade away eventually.
