Back to Wales this weekend. First time in the Z. Drove up on Friday evening via Caffeine & Machine. Did a 180mile loop of North Wales and then down to Elan Valley via some spectacular back roads.

I am not sure if you noticed at all ..but there was a blue Porsche following you for almost your entire trip.
Where in North Wales did you go ?
Oh, you must. That would be the perfect base to explore North Wales from. We did that loop and a small detour near Blaenau Ffestiniog to find breakfast, plus had to redo several mountain passes, then worked our way down to the Elan Valley. The last time I was in Wales I was driving the blue Porsche, so was a bit worried about bringing my Z3, but I think Z3’s are perfectly suited to the roads in Wales.Nice route..my folks live in Porthmadog..not taken the Zed up there yet though
Final day’s photos. Sunday morning was Llandrindod Wells to Llandovery, then over the Black Mountain pass and back to Llandovery. Then the trek home via Ross on Wye, Cirencester, Burford and Charlbury.
Spotted a few Z3’s today. One very fast moving silver one just outside Brecon exchanged a headlight flash and saw a red one parked up at a hospital car park somewhere between Llandovery and Abergavenny.
Wales is still a driving paradise. 20mph is not really an issue…can’t say I saw anyone actually doing 20 and didn’t see it policed. Some places have the 20 limited to the most congested parts of town and back to 30 further out, others are silly.
736miles, mostly top down. Only Saturday was a bit wet. Only 3 oil top ups required
