As some of you might have gathered by now I'm against any sort of noise that isn't the exhaust or the engine when I'm driving. Occasionally I turn the stereo on but anything other than those noises annoy me.

Unfortunately my zed loves making all sorts of weird noises, I've had buzzing sounds, rattles from the front, rattle at the rear, grinding noises from the brakes, rattling inside the interior. Most are sorted except for two.

One of them being this door card rattle - see below video

Suggestions?

And no, before anyone says, I'm not going to remove the cards and turn it into a drift car. ;)

At the moment I'm thinking of using some double sided tape to secure the top portion to the leather and then some plastic weld to secure the bit that has come apart from near where the tweeters are located.

I hate rattles and squeaks as well!

My Z3 is rattle free, l've used black silicone sealant in the past to cure rattling parts such as these.

Well this is what I've done

Used epoxy to secure the area that had come undone.

Then put a washer in place and secured the screw back down

It now holds together nicely.

The door card in itself is in fantastic condition, purely because the car has such low miles

I'm tempted to remove the centre section and wrap it in leather that matches the texture of the seat.

Just don't know how to remove these rivets?

Fitted everything back together and the noise is gone at least for now.

Get yourself some felt tape

Stick that to any surface that can rub, it will get rid of loads of rattles / squeaks

You need to cut the ends/lip off and you can pull the panel out then. A sharp stanley will work just trim the top off all of them. But you will need to re-glue them back in when you want to re-fit the panels.
