Okay so when applying 40-50% pressure on the foot brake there is a clunk noise from the rear underside of the car. Discs and pads replaced 5 months ago and are fine. Did have an advisory on Augusts MoT re worn brake lines at the front. Any ideas for the noise when braking at the rear ?

Possible broken spring, swing arm bush worn, shocker or top mount. Calliper or carrier bolt loose. Pads moving in carrier.

Could be backlash but you'll get that on acceleration as well as braking.

I get a click or clonk sometimes from the pads moving slightly in the calipers, courtesy of black diamond predator pads :meh:.

Okay so I’m only aware of the clunk when I press firmly on the brake and it’s coming from the rear. No noise any other time. Sounding like a pad perhaps

Can you replicate the noise using the parking brake only? That would eliminate the pads.
