According to the M2 project lead, M will not be involved in the upcoming Supra/Z5/whatever it will be called project. A little bit disappointing but not surprising I guess. Still excited to see the cars that come out of this collaboration.

Yes but there will be plenty of 'M Performance' stickers and spoilers no doubt!
 
It's been that way for a while though as they never bothered with an E89 M version. I think it's easier for them to fit a large HP engine in and "that'll do". Less development, less costs. Perhaps if they stopped making M versions of everything else would help.
