another beauty!

Beauts! Thanks for sharing.

what a beautiful car 🙂

That little truck sums up your average Brit abroad. As soon as they land in a foreign country what are they hoping to find? Yep a sh*** British style pub serving sh*** British beer and serving sh*** British food! Just get your knotted hanky on your head and go to Skeggy for the fortnight ;)

Damn these stereotypes. You forgot the Ingerland t-shirt.
Having lived in foreign parts, yep, I remember the sh*** "pubs" serving Watneys Red Barrel and suchlike delights. Did my best to avoid them, and used the local bars like the locals did. Oh, the joy of having the Ingerland "supporters" swarming about the place indulging in revolting behaviour and bu**ering life up for us for months after.

For the first time we went to a place serving “Traditional” British Sunday lunch near Davenport, FL. when we were last in Florida,
because it was owned by a friend of a friend. Won’t be returning if I have anything to say about it.
Although “Cookes of Dublin” at Disney Spring do great Fish and Chips, just wish they did mushy peas . . . . . . .

Tony.

Reminds me of a time (a very long time ago ), sittingin a quaint Austrian cafe beside a beautiful lake. We had made our best efforts to communicate in German (and continued to do so even though the waitress replied in perfect English) when up pulls a tourist coach that offloads 30+ brits who approach the bar and shout (the louder the better so those foreigners understand) for pints (yes pints) of lager and packets of crisps etc. They then went on to moan loudly about all the menus being in German!:banghead: The lovely waitress, seeing how embarressed we were, came up afterwards to say words along the lines of "it's OK, we know not all you British are the same ......"

There were, indeed, many times when we'd carry on talking in German rather than have anything to do with the Ingerlish scum that would pass through every now and again. Not very good German, maybe, but good enough.;)

It does pay back in many ways too. On another occasion, we had spent a week in a resort persisting with our German with the waitress who persisted in speaking English(!); at the end of the week, the bar was packed on a Friday night (no room at ther Inn ;)) but we were found space on a table reserved for locals while all the other Ingerlish were turned away :beer:beer:beer:beer:beer:beer
