I think in fairness they deserve to reach a good price. Any change out of £600 would be a result for someone.

How can they be in pristine condition with the seat belt guide broken?

I would guess someone has painted them.

I love to be proved wrong though, anyone?

Does my nut this. Throwing figures of £500-£700 about just hikes prices up and knocks alot of working folk out the market for such upgrades. How can a pair of seats possibly be worth that sort of money?

Agreed, oh, and the drivers seat button has come off and the heater on the drivers backrest "appears" not to work.

Still look in good Nik though.

If you were in the unfortunate position of having to buy a new seat from BMW I doubt if you would get change from £2000 per seat, so if these sell at £600 and are as nice as they look, I reckon that's cheap.

Have you ever tried getting quotes for having a pair of seats made good/refurbished?

Let's say you got a pair of shabby ones for £200. You'd pay £600-£800 for them to receive the attentions of a decent upholsterer. So you'd have paid out £800-£1000. And that would make no difference if they were Sport or non-Sport.

I'd rather pay £500-£700 for these - assuming they are as nice as they look. The small issues mentioned wouldn't bother me. It's the leather that's expensive to fix.

Anyhow, prices pretty much set themselves. If people don't want to pay those sort of prices they won't and the prices will come down.

I think we're lucky as Z3 owners. For the vast majority of parts there is a ready supply and modest prices. Sport seats, clear lights and roll bars are some of the very few parts which are more painful.

I don't disagree with a lot of what you are saying mate I just think some of the prices are getting ridiculous seats being one of them. I bought some roll hoops recently at really sensible money because the seller like me thinks things are being massively inflated.

They look a little too new but hey a refurb dyed or reupholstered isn't cheap.
I've seen torn ones for double the start price of these.
