Hello Glasgow! Thanks for the welcome. I'm not good at tech stuff but would still appreciate any advice. The dealer is Sara Cox near Newark. If you get time to take a look. Thanks.
Just took a look. It's a 1.9 4 cylinder, not the 2.0 6 cylinder (not that that's an issue). Looks good in the pics but doesn't provide a lot of info. A tad under £5k is a lot of money, even with that mileage, so if you're set on it try and strike up a deal. Look at MOT Checker for its history, MOT info and mileage.

As Andy says it is a 1.9 not a 2.0 and that makes a big difference. The 4 cyl engined 1.9 is a more nimble car to drive than the heavier engined 2.0 6 cyl. owners tell us. I does look in good condition from the pictures but is is certainly at the top end of the price range. I would certainly haggle hard on the price, they will not be selling many cars just now even though we’re (should be) coming into sports car time of year.

Tony.

Hi @Linda Graves. I took a look at the MOT history online and the car seems to have some emissions difficulty which is a major part of the MOT.

I also agree with my @andyglym that it's more than I would expect to to pay. A lot more if I am honest. It is in nice visual condition right enough.

Is it the colour that draws you most?

Emissions can be an issue on earlier cars, any more so on M44 cars? Owners?

Tony.

Also, there are some really nice cars for sale on this forum. @Mario has a lovely 2.8i in Oxford Green metallic for sale that is good value. Just an example. Again good luck whatever you decide.

Hi and :welcome: from Surrey, Nicelooking car in the pictures but as others have said, the price needs a bit of haggling. Good luck.

Hi @Linda Graves, :welcome: to the forum from me too in Staffordshire. It looks good in the pictures but it really is at the very, very top of the price for a 1.9, even with 55,000 miles. If you go for that one haggle really hard.
