Hi all

Brand new member. Took the jump swapping my motorbike for a Z3 as the other half had enough of it being in house. Never dreamed of getting a Z3 but starting off cheap with a 1998 1.9 93k on clock and I like the idea of having a good reliable modern classic which in my case is completely original (tape player included ). Just needing out sills seems to be a common problem. Any advice on getting some from anywhere. Drivers side I reckon I could recuse with a bit of welding but looking at replacing nearside.
Also the diff, how often do members service them.

Thanks in advance
Craig

:welcome:to the forum from West Cumbria. Outer sills go for £130 A side from BMW, unpainted. The Diff oil will need changing now as it's for 'life' = 100k miles.

Hi Craig, welcome from me near Lincoln. Are you local to Sopers?

Tony.

Hi Tony,
No I'm abit of a distance on the Wirral. But if they have sills I'm willing to travel struggling to find at the moment and dont fancy welding one of them too far gone.

Sopers will post larger items Craig, wouldn't have thought a pair of sills would cost the earth.

Bought my sills new from Sopers in Lincoln and had to collect as they are long and fairly fragile. Said they won’t post them.

Chances are your local Dealer will match Sopers on price Craig. If you do end coming over to Lincoln for them let me know and I'll come and say hello.:)
