Hi Guys
Thread says it all. A month ago I wouldn't even thought about a z3, but a mate of mine suggested that we start a retro car club with our other mates. Had to be made between 1980-1999 and under £1500. I drove him up to Norfolk last Bank holiday Monday to pic up his 1992 T bar mk2 Toyota MR2. He's a really good mate but I thought to myself, "if that's what £1500 buys you, I'm in trouble".
I was pleasantly surprised to see that you could get an early z3 within budget. The more I researched, the more I realised that I wanted a 2.8. Needless to say, I ended up being nearly a £1000 over budget. Picked up my 1997 silver 2.8 yesterday afternoon from London grinning all the way home to Bracknell in Berkshire. The purists will hate that its an auto but it suits me as a motorbike accident and years of skiing have given me a dodgy left knee. Interior to deep red leather which I love. The drive home shed light on a few jobs that I need to sort out. Air bag light is on, cracked passenger side mirror and slow sticking drivers window. Then there's the worn seat bushes and perished foam on the drivers side bolster. Bushes and mirror already ordered and now looking forward to tinkering time in the garage.
Anyway, rambled enough so once again, hi guys.
All the best
