Hi all - just thought i would join this Roadster community as today we collected a new addition to our family!! A rather pretty pre-loved 1999 1.9 Z3 - cute, lovely to drive and so far so good!! We picked it up at auction so are slowly finding out what it will need and which button does what!!! Hoping we might be able to pick your brains and gain some valuable insight into the intricacies of our new baby!!! No photos as yet but its silverrrrrr and were looking forward to having the summer together...

Thank you all for your warm welcome!! So our lovely baby came with its first issue yesterday which we didn't notice when the roof was down in the auction !! Currently resting under attractive blue tarp outside! Roof works fine and main body of the fabric is in pretty good nick for a start - but the zip fastener on the rear window has come off - hence no chance of fixing the rear window into the hole - do we need a brand new one and if so where should we go for such or can you get someone to replace the zip?? Sorry im going to be rubbish on all the correct terminology with regard to a car !! TIA !

Hi from Mansfield.
Your rear window can be fitted with a new zip. The quotes some people on here have had to do it though is eye watering, Jack Smith's at Swansea will fit a brand new roof with new window for the price some have been quoted for just the window.
