Hi like-minded members,
I'm Ian from Surrey. I brought my first Z3, a 1.9 manual, back in 1999, keeping it for about 3 years and clocking up some 18k. Then in 2013 after 14 years driving other cars, I decided to look for another Z3 as I missed driving a rear-wheel drive roadster, and by that time the price had dropped dramatically so it was possible to find a low mileage one-owner example with good spec. for a very reasonable price. I found my current Z3, a Topaz Blue 2 litre roadster automatic, at a local BMW specialist, and bought it on the spot. Then in November last year I was offered an extremely low mileage silver 2.2 manual, so I bought that too! The silver one's garaged over-winter and the blue one will be offered for sale in the spring when I put the silver one on the road. I think a Z3 is the nearest thing to an E-Type with that long bonnet, and the sound of the straight six is simply gorgeous!

Hi from snowy Canada! Nice to find one good ZED let alone two. Enjoy the asylum as well as the tech and knowledge available here. Take a look through the menu to familiarize yourself with the format and come back with any questions you may have. JIM

Welcome Ian!
Life gave you the chance to own , in the same time, two beautiful Zeds!:)
Why not keep them both? Now the price is low, maybe the lowest, but in few years it will go up, as a collectible...;)

Sorry Stacey, but my car off the road at least until the beginning of April maybe May, funds a bit tight. However until you get to see the real thing here is a few photo's from this morning. I washed my daily drive (not been washed since just before sons wedding in November ) and as it was a gorgeous morning near Lincoln I decided to wash some garage dust off the Z. Finally fitted and wired my boot lid red LED's yesterday too.

Thanks once again to everyone who welcomed me, - you are a very welcoming bunch! So love the car, when I had my new one back in 1999, drivers used to flash their headlights as they approached. That doesn't seem to happen so much these days, but I'll no doubt continue to do it, as it adds to the fun. BMBabe, thanks for the meet details, I can't commit yet, I've put it in my diary and will see a little nearer the time. Very much unknown territory! While I'm on here, I regularly go down to Goodwood for various meetings, - the next major one is the 73rd Members Meeting on 22nd March, any members on here likely to be going in their Z's? Mine always seems to sit alone in the car-parks surrounded by exotica of the F and P variety! Zeti, I hope you're right about rising values. I think they're already on the 'up', and we're likely to see a further rise in the spring. Those most in demand are the M version and 2.8's, but this will likely have a knock-on effect downwards.
