Hi to the club members. I live in Surrey and recently purchased a 1999 facelift 2.0 ltr Z3. I had been looking for some time and thankfully made my purchase. I am still finding my way around the car and what switch does what. I still have two switches at the rear between the seats that are a puzzle, the previous owner didn't know either. Any thoughts! Looking forward to many interesting times ahead. Cheers everybody.

The switches will be for the power roof and the heated screen. The car must have previously had a hard top. It is certainly worth checking if the car still has the hardtop mounting kit on board. Welcome to the group. :)

:welcome: to the Forum from West Cumbria. The two rear switches in my Z3 are for my heated seats, I think it depended on what day of the week it was when putting in the various switches.

My switches have red and green lights but don't seem to do anything. Your idea sounds right, I'll check for the mounting kit.

My heated seat switches are in front centre consul. As buxtonz3guy says - could be for hard top
