Welcome Laurance, nice looking 2.8 you have there and with ///M seats too. A little bit of dental floss will soon have those ///M badges off though, also some spacers on the rear wheels will fill those wide arches so much better.;)

Welcome Laurence,

Great looking zed up you have. You will be pleased to know there is usually quite a few meets organised in the West County, organised by a chap called Duncan - @La_vida_diver and @Nutty_Hazel. We had a long weekend cruising and socialising in Devon & Cornwall earlier in the year.

I'm hoping he will be running it again next year, along with a few ad hoc meets at local car shows etc.

Cheers, Gary

I like the Alpina wheels on a zed but must be a b@tch to clean.

Whereabouts in Plymouth are you as I went to uni there so spent quite a bit of my youth down there.

Hi thank you all the the welcome! this looks to be a promising forum looking forward to meet and what size spacers would you recommend?

Probably 15mm either side, but best to measure the distance of the front face of the wheel to the front face of the top of the wheel arch, then subtract 5mm for the arch/liner lip, and that should be your maximum spacer size.

Hi Lawrence I tried to get Ocean BMW in Plymouth interested in Silverstone Classic a couple of years ago but managed to get more help from Westerly BMW last year for both the Westcountry Cruise and they offered for Silverstone. There is a lady called @ABody who also lives in Plymouth she is also into her Zed she joined us on part of the Westcountry Cruise last year. I do plan to do another Westcountry Cruise in early 2014 for those whose cars are no Sorn'd in March or April but have not yet started to plan it. I ought to float a thread and see what people think some time soon. There is getting to be a few Zed's down here in the Westcountry what with @Nutty_Hazel as well.

@Nutty_Hazel mentioned the other day the idea of having a breakfast meet in Dartmouth for Breakfast one Sunday as there is a place there that only does Breakfast but does it till about 14:00 so she was suggesting everyone meeting there at about 11:00 I will have a word with her about contacting them to see if we can book a table or if we would have to take pot luck.

I also see you have "met" @bruce&kim online they are a great couple we need to make sure we do a Westcountry Zed meeting sometime soon they also have a Silver Zed which is a peach.

@GazHyde I think it is time for a Westcountry meet sometime soon, don't think we should wait for the Westcountry Cruise next year.
