Hi all,

Just bought a Z3 (2002 - 2.2) for me and my wife to enjoy, the car has covered 160k and has some age related wear that I will need to sort. I have owned lot's of cars but have always admired the Z3 for it's style and performance. I was searching the net for advice etc, and found your site. I have to say it looks good, and the wing mirror repair article was very informative. I look forward to corresponding with you and perhaps meeting up sometime?

1st job - Full service
2nd job - Wheel powder coat
3rd job - Leather restoration
4th job - bodywork

Anyway, need to find a leather restoration firm and get a quote.....

Speak with you all later

Hi Mick,

A warm welcome from me. There are plenty of suggestions on here for wheel refurbs - put "wheel specialist" in to the search box in the top right corner. They seem to get the best write ups on here, with plenty of recommendations.

Not sure if you have heard of BMWCCGB's Zed Fest in July. Getting as many Zed cars to Silverstone for a big meetup, including a lap around the F1 track at the end of the day. Zed Fest 2013 Thread

Plenty of other meetups planned through the year. Closest to you will be Taffzee's latest cruise

Cheers, Gary

Thanks for the welcome, and I'll look at the "wheel specialist" blog as suggested.

The trips look fab also, will need to check my diary and speak with the boss (lol)....

Thanks again

Welcome from me too Mick.

I had my leather interior done by a chap called John from Bespoke Leathering in Birmingham - http://www.bespokeleathering.com/. It would be quite a run out for you but I would highly recommend him. He removed both seats, swapped the drivers and passenger seats over, recoloured them, the door cards, handbrake & gearshift gaitors for £400 - bargain in my book.

There is a great leather restoration place in woolston, literally 2mins off the M6 jct20. He did the bolster on my seat £60. He gets sent Lamborghinis , Ferraris , Astons the lot from dealerships all over the country to work his magic on.
