Thank you for accepting me into your group. I'm an old fella living in the North Riding and I purchased my 2006 2.0i Z4 a couple of months ago for a number of reasons, but primarily to bring some exhilaration and stimulation to my wife who has Alzheimers but hey, we're coping and working hard and flying around the Dales and the Moors and she's waving like mad at all and sundry: stopping at lights and pedestrian crossings is an experience as she starts conducting conversations with anyone who looks her way. Sometimes, with the roof down, she asks me to close the window as she's got a draught. Got to smile.
I have always been a BMW fan having owned quite a few over the years, my favourite being the 535i I had back in the eighties - best car ever. Ever!
I called my eldest son to tell him what I'd done when I picked up the car - I'm looking at one too, he said, and came up from south last weekend to drive mine.
It's fun, I hope she lasts as long as the car but I promise to enjoy every day at the wheel when we are out together. I probably have a tendency to let words run away with me so I'll stop now. And there are some who quite rightly will think this is all too much info so my apologies - I promise not to do it again.
Thank you again and my kindest regards to you all.
