Thank you for accepting me into your group. I'm an old fella living in the North Riding and I purchased my 2006 2.0i Z4 a couple of months ago for a number of reasons, but primarily to bring some exhilaration and stimulation to my wife who has Alzheimers but hey, we're coping and working hard and flying around the Dales and the Moors and she's waving like mad at all and sundry: stopping at lights and pedestrian crossings is an experience as she starts conducting conversations with anyone who looks her way. Sometimes, with the roof down, she asks me to close the window as she's got a draught. Got to smile.
I have always been a BMW fan having owned quite a few over the years, my favourite being the 535i I had back in the eighties - best car ever. Ever!
I called my eldest son to tell him what I'd done when I picked up the car - I'm looking at one too, he said, and came up from south last weekend to drive mine.
It's fun, I hope she lasts as long as the car but I promise to enjoy every day at the wheel when we are out together. I probably have a tendency to let words run away with me so I'll stop now. And there are some who quite rightly will think this is all too much info so my apologies - I promise not to do it again.
Thank you again and my kindest regards to you all.

Like Phil just said, I hope this can give you some happy memories to keep to keep out the bad ones that will likely come (I know) and there's no one on here just now who will be bothered in the slightest about your long post. Keep enjoying the car for as long as you both can and then even on your own, it'll help preserve the good memories. :)

Good luck and all the best,

Tony.

Just a quickie this morning to say what a great bunch of folk you are - very encouraging of you. We're off to Thirsk this morning to get a pre-storm wash and then onto the moor for a sarnie and a cuppa.

Abandoned the drive, the trees are bending and the wind increasing so sitting at home eating sarnies and keeping an eye in the one tree that's near the car but shouldn't reach if it comes down.
Now: I wonder how far slates fly?
Have good and safe day all

Sorry to hear that Colin. But don't worry, Zeds are for all year, not just summer, so there will be another journey to taken very soon.

I've been over to Grimsby this morning to see how @Sean d new motor is coming along. I wouldn't mind a £ for every bit of tree I ran over on the journey.
