Hi folks,
What have I done??? 🫣
Mid life crisis is here & she looks like a 2000 Z3 2.8 that has great bodywork & runs but doesn’t rev. 70k on the clock but no MOT.
Really lo forward to this project…. I think 😬

Welcome, everything can be fixed.

I’d get it in for a mot and then share any issues so that someone on here can give you some advice on solutions.

Z3 are such easy cars to work on

So another Welsh member, down here in the South we have a Whatsapp group Zedshed Cymru with members of this Forum and the Z4 Forum. We use my home garage which has a lift to do jobs on our cars as and when work required. Full diagnostics and coding available as well. Members supply parts
Oil etc and it's left up to the individual if they make a donation to the Shed which is used for running costs for sundries and tools. We do have run outs as a group and attend car shows so if your interested send me a PM on here with phone number and will add you in. May well have a mid Wales run during the year you would be welcome to join us.

Nice one. Thanks.
I actually live in Tregaron. Right on the Abergwesyn mountain road - devils staircase, Llyn Brianne - You’ve probably driven past if you’ve ever driven the mountain road, which I’d bet you have, loads of classics pass me on sunny days.
Time to get the hot soapy water out & start cleaning the green off her 😀

What’s wrong with it? If it’s still watertight, there are products that can restore it I think. You can try Meguair’s Plast-Rx or similar.

It’s got a vertical split in it.

also: any idea which of the many online ‘manuals’ are worth paying for?

Roof looks like it needs some attention, best give it the Renvo treatment. Also the Headlamps look like they are in need of some treatment to get them clear again. I use Turtlewax Headlight Restorer on mine with good lasting results. Halford sell it and its cheaper than buying a full restoration kit.
