Hi, just bought my 1st Z3 - first BMW for me and first convertible. 1998, 1.9 Red, she arrives on Sat. Been standing for a while, needs a good Polish and a bit of tlc but Winter and dark nights ahead!
Hi @Rambling, to the forum from me too in Staffordshire, where are you based? Don't forget to post some piccies up when you get her. Lots of help here on the forum, any questions just ask and someone will be on to answer you.
I'm from sunny Anglesey so lots of lovely views to admire next Spring/Summer.
Will post pics when she arrives but like I say, lots to do!
Need to read up about pros/cons of use/lay up over Winter as regards battery care etc. Sounds a bit of a mind field!
I have a large agricultural shed where it will be stored, just not sure if I should keep it 'road ready' but covered with the odd tick over or drip charge the battery. I know the battery issue is complex! Lots of reading to do
Welcome from Canada! Disconnect the ground cable on the battery and put a low amp charger on to keep the battery up in power. That way it's a simple operation to start it up and go, shouldn't take more than a few minutes tops! HTH. JIM
