Hello, fellow Z3 enthusiasts! I'm in my 70s, just purchased a 1997 Z3 2.8l 5-speed in July of this year. It's my first experience with a BMW, and though it's a challenge, I'm loving it!

I live in eastern USA, not too far from where the Z3 was built. I'll have a few questions along the way. I hope this community will be patient with ecstatic newbie.

Welcome to the Forum, all you will ever need to know can be found on here.
As we are Worldwide its a good idea to update your User details to show your location and exact model of your car so these details appear to the left of your posts or expand on your user if viewing on a phone. It assists us in answering questions and saves you typing them in each time you post a thread.

Hi and welcome from me near Lincoln, UK.
Treat yourself to a Factory tour at BMW Spartanburg SC, we did and it was really worth it.

Tony.

Welcome from South Yorkshire, England. As mentioned before the BMW factory tour and Museum in Spartanburg is really worth the trip. Virginia is a wonderful place, we have vacationed there many times.
Rob 😀
