Hi everyone
I picked up my Z3 last week and I'm absolutely loving it. I've been mainly driving new leased / company cars for the past few years and I've been desperate to get something interesting I can play with for a while now. We're about to move house and I wanted to fill my new garage with a small convertible so a Z3 seemed like a great choice.. and it just had to be a straight six.
I viewed a couple but settled for this 1999 2.8, which has only 2 previous owners and just over 80k miles with good history. It drives really well and seems mechanically sound - just needs a little attention on the bodywork but generally very good for it's age. The latest (main dealer!) MOT has only one advisory for a faded number plate, which the previous owner was reluctant to change due to being the original dealer one. It goes in next week for a wheel refurb, then I'll give it a machine polish and replace some of the badges. It came with the hard top as well, which is a nice little bonus (although I'll probably sell it because it'll never get used).
The forum has already been a great help for a few things I've found answers to. I hope to stick around for a while because I already can't see me ever parting with my Z3
