Got the new wheels shod today looked into what tyres looking through the tramlining thread and decided although the zed isn't really a wet weather car a good set of tyres in the wet was a must so choice Uniroyal RainSport 3's happy to report no issues what so ever with tramlining or anything with them and the car feels very sure footed with them on.
Went with the normal 225/40/18's front and 255/35/18 rear thought they would never tuck under when it was in the air but now its down i could even space it if i wanted!
The wheels are 8.5j et38's front and 9.5j et 33 rear and they fit to the mm so proper made up as the wheel style has been a want for along time and they are always 5 series offset at 20 and 15 most of the time so to find a set staggered as well was great.
What a change love the look and the rear dish is perfect for the prefacelift 2.8 so here she is. ....

Nice wide rubber under the back end....

No offset issues at all it must be wheel design as the 8j's fitted stuck out further than these 8.5j rims on the same offset.?!!??

That is fantastic. Simply superb wheels, well done on a great find! A Z3 must have dish, it's the law!

You can also get inserts for the spokes to make them solid looking so it's two styles for the price of one!

They look great, can't beat a set of Schnitzers on any zed and they look as if they fit perfectly. Are you keeping the BMW centre caps or fitting AC Schnitzers ones?
If i can get some schnitzer ones i will change them its just what they came with

Yeah far less spokes than the others thats for sure i think i need a less dusty brake pad if there is such a think as they existing ones just appear to disintigrate =))

Thanks Tony.. liked the old wheels but these are more in keeping with the cars age.

I hope so the old ones where fiddly but snow foam and a jet wash works wonders !
