Welcome :)

Your ///M looks mint :joyful: Is that shadow chrome on your wheels?

Shout if you have any questions about the site.

We have a for sale section, ordinarily you need to have made 5 posts before you can post in it. I've waved that for you in case you want to post up an advert ;)

Yep the wheels are Shadow Chrome. Previous owner had them done in Aberdeen just before I bought the car

Welcome from a fellow Yorkshire lad :welcome:
Thanks for the warm welcome Aceman, there are some cracking looking cars on this forum, I'm a massive fan of the Z3.
My next door neighbour had a 98 plated 2.8 that I loved, but buying one at that time made no family sense.

I recently retired, & could not make my mind up what to buy for love nor money.

Anyway I ended up browsing the Z4 forum, & had pretty much made my mind up on buying a Z4 3.0SI.
We were on holiday in Northumberland at the time, and one of the senior Z4 owners drove up from Newcastle to let me have a go in his SI
I was hooked, but there were no ' 3.0SI forum cars' for sale at the time. I wanted a forum car as they tend to be cherished, as I'm sure your's is.

2 days after returning home another senior Z4 forum member posted his Z4MR was for sale. The comments from other members were such that I made my mind up to buy it without seeing it, ( Would never normally do that!).
The upshot was I flew up to Aberdeen 3 days later and bought it

We were in two minds when we got the 3.0si as we were also thinking of getting an 06 z4m that was for sale at the same time, but because it was the wifes daily driver we couldnt justify the additional expense that comes with owning a 4m. If it was just going to be a second car then we would most def of gone for the m. Next Z4 will be the 35sdrive

I know what you mean Bill, I didn't sleep when I told the seller I wanted it. But it's a 'Bucket Car' for me.
I had a budget to replace the car when I retired, & I was going to buy a nearly new Subaru Outback, as I also enjoy my carp fishing (Plus 4 wheel drive & reliability).

The more I thought about the money I was going to spend on the Outback, the more I began to realise I could spend the money differently.
IE buy a Z4 and get a well looked after older Subaru Legacy estate - which I did.
I bought the Z and bought a one owner 56 plate petrol Subaru Estate RNE...owned by a retired Head Teacher who had owned it from new, & which came with a full main dealer history.

The Subaru has never had a child or a dog in it, and is in show room condition.

The ///M had an Inspection 2 before I bought it, & I have just replaced the front discs & pads . Hopefully I wont have too much expense over the next 2 years until my wife retires.
