Hi Everyone,

Hope you are all in good health. I'm Martin and live in Rugeley Staffs, I have a 2007 2.0ltr which I've had for 3 years and only do about 4,000 miles a year in it. I remember reading comments when I bought it about how common the soft top motor failure was. I didn't bother checking the drain holes, Big mistake as it has now bitten me in the Proverbial. Time on my hands its time to fix it. Wish me luck.

Hi Marty and welcome from me too near Lincoln. If you get the motor out of it's hidey hole chuck it in a bucket of diesel for a couple of days and let it soak. It is very rare for a motor to die altogether. If you're lucky enough to be left-handed it will make removing it easier.

Hi @marty R, to the forum from me too, just up the road from you near to Stafford. I sold my Z4 before I had the motor problem. As said above lots of info on the forum about moving it into the boot. Good luck
