Hello I’m new to the Z3 as I recently bought a 2000 Z3 2.8. It’s Oxford green with a tan interior. I have a few issues I’ll be asking about such as negative camber in the rear, (Is this normal?) and a few other small issues. I’m a

a veteran mechanic and have other cars much older than this car. I think this car is the most fun I’ve had driving in many years.

Hey Bill, my first Z was a 2000 2.0 Z3 also in Oxford Green with tan interior. Negative camber on the rear is something you have to deal with and it's not adjustable as standard. You can buy kits to fit on the rear to make this adjustable. I beleive it includes welding to fit.
I guess you would also call me a veteran mechanic at 68 (retired a few years now).
Where are you located please? I'm in Florida at the moment but usually near Lincoln, UK.

Tony.

I’m in Western PA in the states. Thanks I guess I don’t need to worry about the camber then just live with it. I do have to say the car handles pretty great.

One way of mitigating the camber issue (as I did on mine) is to fit a type of tyre where you can swap them side to side whilst still maintaining the correct rotation of the tyres Bill.
When I bought mine the previous owner had fitted K&N coil overseas and she drove like she was on rails.
Enjoy!

Tony.
