I have a 51 plate. With a manual roof (or well it is now). Only issue, is the bar of the roof, the one nearest the boot, does not seem to retract back into it's place properly, and thus the roof, looking from the outside,sinks/drops a bit and doesn't look great. I get the feeling if this bar goes fully back, then it would push out the roof and look great again.

Any suggestions on fixing this please would be vey helpful?

I have already tried, physically to push it back, when the roof is part down and up, but it doesn't move …

Hi Paul, welcome from me near Lincoln. It could be the the pivot point of that particular roof frame bar is sized and could well be why the roof only works manually. The hydraulic ram can be disabled.

Tony.

Hi Paul, Welcome to the forum.
I am guessing that you are Ian’s son?
If so, bring your car over to Highworth and we can have a look at the hood to see what is happening.

Hello and welcome from the West Midlands. I'm relatively new here too (only been active on here the past two weeks or so) and finding it a brilliant place, full of enthusiasm, expert knowledge and friendly banter.
