new sound system for z3 2.8

is there any sound system configuration you guys recommend for my z3 pls...

If you have a standard head unit a new one I found made a huge difference in the sound.
I'm not bothering with speakers just yet I am quite content with the standard ones.

I'd give my left arm for an original Z3 single CD head-unit, its a Japanese thingy in there at a mo and I have no idea which button I should press, when I should press it and what it does when I do press it totally baffling and looks horrendous.

@David Z3 not sure what you're looking for I've been looking at these as I don't like the modern looking head units, these I think looks more in keeping plus has the USB etc and handsfree, just a suggestion.

They all make cool OEM ish head units.

Best start with a modern headunit and then start upgrading speakers.

I have installed this speaker system in my Z3 Roadster. It really sounds and looks amazing. I can even enjoy music with the roof down at high way speed.

Another vote for just changing the head unit. My Zed came with a Sony head unit that looked like a mobile disco. I fitted an original BMW Business cd/radio head unit - looked perfect & sounded terrible, finally settled on a Blaupunkt Toronto head unit.CD/Radio plus of course blu tooth & all mod cons, sensible price, big improvement in sound and sober styling. Must admit I'm considering a slimline sub for behind the drivers seat too.

I would stay original , as the z3 is on old lady she deserves to be kept original I know that a minority view

I did want to keep mine original but the sound was just to crappy so upgraded to a Alpine unit....... Then got the exhaust done and not used it since as the car has a better sound track
