Travelled in the rain to Jack Smiths (real name Raymond Pugh)Swansea from Somerset this morning at the crack of dawn. 3 hours later it was all done and a FIRST class job at a very very good price £300
Might be a good idea to see if we can list him as one of our traders (Gaz)
Its not the easiest place to find at the back of 158 a mid terrace one but round the back in an alley all rather run down but that how he is able to do it for the money, also a very nice chap to deal with and very knowledgeable when it come to soft tops. Geoff

What is the best way to stop window getting scratched along the protruding seam above window ?
a length of pipe insulation is what I use on my 1.9 BUT how well does the OEM rear window protector work ?
Geoff

Geoff why do you dislike my post? I tagged Mint as he uses something to protect his plastic window.

I just use a folded up towel;)
On my 1.9 I have used a length of pipe insulation but the window was already marked but it has not got worse so may be another length of 22 mm pipe insulation wi

Do you think that the towel is better than a full width length of 22mm foam pipe insulation ?
What

Dave a question on another subject as you have a 3ltr, mine has only one horn on the off side, surly it must have had two when it came out of the factory, have you got two ? Geoff

One with a single horn is a Unicorn, one with two is a Goat Geoff.

Tony.

ps. Back on topic many cars have a high and a low tone horns, Italians love them. Japanese and Asian cars tend to have a very high pitch single one.

I use both, lagging protects the window, towel helps prevent roof fabric from wear marks!

I would have thought so Geoff. Unfortunately I can't check as she is all covered up for the winter. I thought all Z3s had two horns.
