Im a week late with the photos, but here goes: new roof, fitted in the cold. Photos not great, but it is such a good fit and finish, meets my high standards.
Thanks Dave, it is, but the car has had the hardtop on for a year, due to the state of my old roof! its now covered up in the garage on charge, but it will come out on a dry winters day. hopefully this week! mark
Thanks dave, they are like the original. They are from bas international. See link. http://www.car-hood.co.uk/ Mark And here. viewtopic.php?f=22&t=1756&hilit=New+hood&start=15
Thanks Mark There was a red one of these available on ebay recently from a guy who buys them from BAS with minor imperfections, but he said there was nothing wrong with it. It was up for £230 and I was tempted to buy it but they are apparently a pain to fit, he wanted £450 fitted which is good for a red roof. As my roof is normally either down or the hardtop is on, I don't want to spend loads on a roof really so I think I will eventually go for one of the cheaper ones from the place in Croydon that get good reviews. I understand why you have gone for the best quality hood (with exception of paying a silly amount for one from the dealers), as it needs to look immaculate in keeping with the pristine condition of the rest of your car :-bd
Thanks dave. You are correct, if your using the hood and hardtop a lot it's not worth spending too much I plan to store the hardtop now and keep the Soft top in good order. Mark
Thanks mate, Yes it was fitted at mine, you would not like to do it yourself trust me. Very skilled and difficult job! Mark
no mate not a job i could do but its one to tick off the list when funds allow. what was the fitted price if you dont mind me asking
I've seen the roof... It's a cheap n nasty bit of table cloth I think... It was not worth the £1150 mark payed fitted.. Sorry mate...
