I did a soft top swap on my other zed, relatively easy. I brought the sealing compound in a real, remove the 18 screws along the inside (below the window. Disconnect the motor arm (pop a pin and the joint comes apart) then remove the 3 bolts on each side. give it all a good shake to break the old sealant and lift. Took longer to clean the old sealant off. took me around 3 hours.

What did you use to clean the old sealant?

Your quote: I brought the sealing compound in a real..
Don't quite follow that, and its something I'm concerned about. Could you explain that again. Thanks. Frankie

Frankie, I'm sure that Lee meant a reel of sealant which would come on a non sticky backing tape where you would apply the sealant to the area required then remove the backing tape to leave the sealant in situ. Hope that makes sense.

    Tony.

Exactly what tony said. The harder way of sealing the roof was with a tube of sealant which gets messy.

This reel of sealant is the same stuff and easier to apply.

Just got home from work. I'll eat, then start on the top. I'll take out the seats first.

Don't forget once the seats are out don't turn on the ignition or the airbag light will come on, better still disconnect the battery as long as you have the radio code.

    PS Good luck

I saw a post about this on another forum some one sent me to about the top. Something about spacers. I'll have to look at it again.
