I have taken out my original bmw cd player and am trying to fit a new cd player in with security cage and it all seems rather tight.
Am I correct in thinking that the original slot needs to be widened slightly ? The original cd player didn't have a security cage
Cheers

The one I fitted was actually quite slack I had to bend the tabs out to secure it

thanks for the replies,I didn't think it should be cut, I have a universal cage I might go out and get a specific one for my cd player (becker) and try that.
will post an update when I have

Might be interested in your BMW CD player if you are selling. I only like OEM stuff for a full retro ride :)
