Hello everyone! Glad to be aboard. I share a 1999 wide body Oxford Geen, 2.0 litre roadster with my son
We purchased this in Nov 2019. I have replaced both sills, removed chassis rust, replaced springs. Rebuilt front callipers and replaced
handbrake linings.
I have changed ns front brake steel line back to abs block, together with the flexible.
Can I ask which way Should I tackle the offside steel brake line? What is best practice?
do I replace it all the way behind the engine to abs block, or do I splice the cunifer type inside engine bay where it starts to go down
the inner wing.
Any advice would be most welcome with MOT in mind.
Best Regards,
Peter 75.

My advice would be to replace the pipe in 2 pieces. Cut the old pipe in a place where it is accessible to tighten a joint. Remove the old pipe and keep it is the original shape as much as you can, that way you can use the old pipe as a pattern to shape the new pipe before fitting.

By the way Peter, welcome to the forum from me, near Lincoln. Where are you located please?

Tony.

Welcome aboard
I would just add - why replace with steel when copper is available and does not rust?
