Hello all
Just joined as I am now the proud owner of a Z3 myself.
think its a mid life crisis thing, but what the heck I love it.
thinking of buying a hard top and fixing kit is it worth while?

:welcome:to the forum from West Cumbria. With regards to a hard top and fixings you won't get much change out of £1k. They do look great but it's a balance really as they look better with the roof down, which of course it should be at all times :D ;)
Oh, got any pics?

Hi and welcome :welcome:

Hard tops, depends if;
1. you want to use the car all year and would put it on for the winter period. (Not worth popping on and off on a regular basis)
2. if your Zed lives outside during the winter.
3. You have someone to help you put it on / off or want to invest in a roof winch.

If yes to any of the above I would say they are of use. Personally I don't use mine, it has been on once in 18mths and I regretted putting it on as the sun came out for the whole day, sits in the garage now in its bag and that,s where its staying, though the Z3 does look fantastic with the HT on.

@Low Rider you interested in selling your Pistachio Green HT?

Hello and welcome from The Vale of Glamorgan. I fancied a hard top for mine a few years ago, now realise I wouldn't have had the use for the outlay as my Zed isn't a daily drive.

:welcome: from Norfolk.....Re. hard top, if your car is garaged, no need for one. If it lives outdoors, get a half cover, no need for one. If your hood leaks, get your hood fixed. It's a Roadster!... I bought my Z3 to use top down whenever I could. Nothing like a drive out on a crisp dry winters day, as well as a hot summers day....... But of course, you must decide, whether you really want one, and if the amount of use is worth the hassle of fitting/removing, and cost of the hard top and fitting kit.
All the best,

:drinks:

Bonzo.
