Hi guys and ladies my name is John James and I live in Kent went to a car show last month and met some people with BMW Z3 very interesting to talk to, so I thought I might take the plunge and look around for a roadster did not realise there was so many different engine sizes, so I thought I'd join your club to get more information on the Z3, anyway speak again soon. Let's hope we have some more sunny days to drive with the roof down

Hi John and welcome from Surrey, whichever Z you choose will be fun, they are generally very reliable, I have had my 3.0 for 8 years and 89,000 miles with no problems. :welcome:

Hi from Manitoba, Canada! Research is great but when you walk up to YOUR car you'll know immediately! I purchased mine in the UK from pics in an eBay ad. Knew right away it was the one and when my granddaughter agreed the search ended!! It's a 97 1.9 and we absolutely love it!! Good luck! JIM

Thank you everybody for your warm welcome,

Have looked at a few adverts for Z3 on eBay but have not looked yet at any cars, been busy with work, there is one thing that I noticed that the 1.9, 2.0, 2.2, 2.8 and 3.0 all seem to be L models which I understand, but some of them have M Pack I know the BMW M Pack means sports model in saloons, but all I see in Z3 is that M Pack Is there more like different suspension and brakes or is it just the steering wheel. There is also a C Pack, which looks like chrome door handles and surround round window screen, is there anywhere that I can find out more about the different models and packs, it might be on the forum, but at the moment I'm trying to find my way a round sorry to be a nuisance. Keep those cars polished and enjoy driving with the roof down John
