New Member Query

Hi all, I'm a new member and this my first post. I have a Black 1999 1.9 Z3 convertible which I have owned for about 3 1/2 years. It's a great car that is used most days.

Sorry to start with a question, but I wonder if anyone has been able to fix an internal door handle? I have been a bit heavy handed and pulled the door handle off when pulling the passenger door closed! I've not been able to find a secondhand handle, so any help appreciated.

You could try the guys on here who break Z's, one of them is @spurs fan in a coupe

Hey Steve, welcome from me near Lincoln. If your door card is otherwise in good order you can repair the door pull but it requires removing the card first.

Hi Tony, the card is in good condition, but the bracket that holds the door pull has come away from the yellow material that fixes it in place. I have added two photos that show the handle and the door card.

I seem to remember @Sean d repairing one of these, I could be wrong, I’ve been through his build thread (current car)) and it’s not there. I’ve tagged him in this so he may be here in a bit.
