Hello everyone,

I am very exited to have finally joined the Zroadster community, I have owned my Z3 for over three years so it was about time:)
I always had a soft spot for these cars, these were among my favourite cars when I was a kid!
My Z3 in Atlanta blue is a 2.8, manual, 80k.
I live in London and I am wondering if anyone has a good garage they would suggest as few things need addressing.
Thank you for welcoming me to the forum!

Thanks everyone for your welcome.

When driving there is a little rattle, which I think it comes from the exhaust. It could be a loose screw or something more but I'd like to find out.
The exhaust system is stock.
The offside front recently started making a subtle and distinguish noise when driving over a hole or a rough piece of road.
The gear knob is loose, it comes off and it needs replacing.
The seats rails bushes need changing and leather driver seat has a cut which needs repairing.

These are the issues and then there are the improvements, let's say a few extra horsepowers would be welcome;)

Hi and welcome from me near Lincoln. I would think the best option for more HP would be an inlet manifold and possibly Throttle body swap, noise from front most likely an anti-roll bar link ball joint worn (they do knock bad on rough road). I wont go into the Knob thread area but @spurs fan in a coupe recently had some looking for a new home. Seat bushes can be obtained from Ian @Aceman. Exhaust rattle easy to check and repair (could easily be the gearbox mount bracket - very common on BMW cars). Are you located anywhere near the Zedshed ?

Tony.

Exhaust rattle may well be the vacuum flap chattering
