Just a quick intro for now. I am a recently widowed guy who is finishing of his wife's car as a bit of a tribute. I have joined up for advice, help on locating parts, and hopefully for some sort of social life if there is a group covering my area.
I will get pics of the car up as it progresses but for now I will say it's a 52 plate 3.0 Msport, now being refinished in a custom metallic black that my wife loved. It really does pop in the sunlight so should look really great when it's all done and back together.

Thanks for all the welcomes guys. I am sure I will need quite a lot of advice as this progresses.
I am living in Dumfries, south west Scotland so will be looking for specialists to do mechanical and service work. I used to use Autobarn in Hexham but could do with someone closer.
Yes, the car is currently being sprayed in Alfa Fire Black, not sure of the Italian, which is a Black Metalic with a very faint hint of red, it looks black a lot of the time but when the sun hits it there is a pronounced red to it. The car was originally Metalic black with black and red leather so it works a treat.

@Robert Westgarth Hi and welcome to the forum, I am sorry for your loss, I too was recently widowed and bought my first Zed to spend time working on and to fill my time (you know getting out of the house!!). Finding this forum and meeting the great people on here (by chat and on cruises) has been so helpful for me at a difficult time that I would suggest you have come to the right place. You wont find a better group of people in my opinion. Good luck with the project and hope to meet up with you. (I'm hoping to do a long weekend in Scotland in the summer, if I do I'll look you up:thumbsup:)

Welcome Robert!
Sorry for your loss.
It's good that you take care of the Zed. As a tribute , the Zed will heal your soul.
Very curious to see that paint, in the sun!
Enjoy the car and the forum,
Dan

Thanks again guys. Hope to get the car back end of May and can start putting it together. Still need to locate the stainless windscreen surround and the chrome or stainless door handles. I need a set of wheels refurbed and new tyres, then maybe a new hood. So I will be on here asking for recommendations and more advice from then.
