Hi all, after a while lurking on the forums I decided to create an account and join you lot.
So.. here I have a '97 z3 in cosmos black with just over 118k on the clock. I've had her for just up to two years now and this has been my first car. I can honestly say I've loved every second of driving it, fixing it, cleaning it and basically loving it. My girlfriend even gets jealous that I give it this much attention! when I first got it, it was in a bit of a sorry state. The central locking/alarm system wasn't working, exhaust had corroded, a patch of rust on the bodywork and so on. Over these two years and many bottles of wax, polish, WD40 and many hours of tooling around (and no, that's not a euphemism!) i've learned so much in regards to this car and about cars in general. Most of the work done to this car I've completed myself and I can't help but look back and be proud considering I didn't know Jack to begin with!! here's a list off the top of my head of what's been done (in no particular order)
New exhaust
Replaced RSM's
Oil & filter changes
Replaced drive belt
Replaced lambda sensor
Replaced CPS
New thermostat and coolant flush
Cleaned and polished engine bay
Regular fuel treatments
Replaced fuel & air filter
Replaced door handle & antenna gaskets
Fixed bodywork rust
Paint polished and restored
Replaced badges
New HID bulbs
Thorough clean inside and out
Led bulbs here and there
Alloys refurbed (BBS style 19s split)
Fogged airbox
I think there's more but I can't remember!
Future mods: Remap, new alloys, suspension upgrade
