Hi all,
I am a full time student who enjoys working on my 2002 Z3 when not in uni. The aim is to finish this car before years end 24 and start using it in the spring next year visiting classic car shows and having the top down!.
Its been fun learning basic mechanical skills which are in no way related to my Psychology degree course! The car is not far off now with all the electrics and engine in good working order, wheels, brakes, suspension all refurbed I am moving on to bodywork. Its seems I have the usual sill issues where they meet the wheel arches so will be looking for a local welder this week as it is way out of my comfort zone.
The Z3 has developed a new issue recently which I would like any advice on? when driving there is a strange noise that is similar to when you get something stuck between your brake calliper and heat shield. The sound goes away when accelerating and under load but take your foot of the gas and you hear the scraping noise, slow or fast makes no difference.
If anybody can give me any pointers it would be greatly appreciated...
