Yesterday I found the back window had finally cracked. Top is not original but its been on for a long time and not in the best of shape.

Started looking at replacing the top. I live on the Norfolk coast so its a long drive to anywhere. Read the other messages about Swansea and Croydon but the drive just doesn't make it practical.

There is a place in Norwich that will fit one. They offer good quality tops in Stayfast and Twillfast. Twillfast is 100 pounds more.
He stated the quality was good on both and the only real benefit to the Twillfast was it was slightly heavier and better for noise reduction.

What is everyone elses opinion? My car is not quite so not sure its worth it just for the noise.

I am also tempted to replace it myself as I can get a hood alone for 2 to 300 cheaper. All I would need is glue as I have plenty of time.

Trip to Swansea is on the cards for me at some point to get Lynne's roof replaced have hunted about up here end result was bar the time ( in hours to get down and back) would still be a fair bit cheaper for me to pay the petrol down and back and book an overnight hotel stay as opposed to Paying someone up here to do the job

Those 2 materials are what every hood supplier and manufacturer use from memory. I looked all this up a while ago and there is a link to the manufacturer’s site I listed somewhere. But a quick google on those 2 names should lead you to it. I can’t remember what the difference is now.

Thanks chaps. I'll give them a ring. Strangely of all the jobs I've done on my car, this is the one that I don't want to do myself.
