Hi!

After using this forum as a guest for quite a few months, i've decided to join and interact!

I bought my 2.8 pre-facelift Z3 back in February (after eyeing them up for years!) and has been a mini project of mine ever since.

Previously i've owned a 350z and a 370z nismo, and i'm looking forward to changing it up with the z3 :D

Currently my goal is to get everything working and in good order, so far:
- all bulbs changed
- 3rd brake light gasket replaced (as was leaking)
- Headlights de-oxidised
- All badges replaced with OEM blue/white
- Sidelight housing replaced with clear housing
- Door handle gaskets replaced
- Passenger wing mirror replaced (and on the hunt for driver side)
- Shorter 16" number plates fitted
- Hardtop fitted
- New stereo fitted with Carplay (and was a bargain!)
- Gear stick replaced
- Waxed and polished exterior

Key points on my to-do list are:
- dent repairs
- paint correction where needed
- new soundsystem
- Re-trim interior (or replace with black interior parts as currently beige)
- Replace discs/pads/brake fluid
- new wheels
- new suspension
- new aftermarket seats (looks to be tricky based on some threads here)

Looking forward to meeting you!

Thanks,
James

Welcome to the Forum, great colour (Maybe I'm slightly biased ) looks like you’ve done a good job on polishing the car.

Evening James,
Welcome to the forum from us just outside Portsmouth in Portchester. I’ve never seen Gunwarf Quays looking so empty. Good setting for a nice Z3. Alan & Maxine

Thanks! I do love a good polish, I went for black due to that mirror look when its done and I go on to hope it doesnt rain and ruin it haha.
