Hello,

and thank you for putting this group together.
I am looking forward to purchasing a Z3 in the near future but want to educate myself first.
i live in the US and would love to read / watch / and learn about my future car.
I would love people to point me toward the required reading.
thank you for your help.

It's easy, drive one... you will buy one...can't get out without a smile on your face.
Check your local sources, craigs list, cars.com. car guru etc and search the forums. Good deals out there. The older models like my 97 z3 are simpler to maintain. Really inspect all cars for rust and rubber condition. Like rubber bushings door and windows seals etc. Use a lift to really see underneath. If those things look good the car was well cared for and mileage won't be that important but there are many summer use only cars with low miles as well. My first had 27k and I bought one yesterday. A 97 z3 with 30k. Condition and being well cared after is more important than price.
