My name is Mike Brantley. I live in Dublin, GA; am 77 years of age, and a retired veteran. I have just purchased my first BMW. A 2000 Z3 with a non-operating cruise control. This system is a bit different and more complex than those on other cars I have owned. I have had 11 Miatas and love them as they are unbreakable, IMHO. I also have 3 Spitfires, which are definately not unbreakable! I just posted my first concerning the question on the cruise. I look forward to reading all the chatter about this great little car!

Atlanta is about and hour and half up the Interstate. I'm from a small town where there is little traffic and no hurry. I visited Harragate when in service, but that was in 1970....50 Years ago! I have friends near London who I met in Germany in 1980...40 years ago. We have visited each other (2006 and 2010) and still remain close. I just celebrated my 77th birthday, am retired and enjoying life as the years click by. This BMW Z3 is something I've always admired and finally found one in seemingly good shape. 72K miles 2.3ltr Yellow (originally white, but PO had it painted). So far everything works. Not as swift as my 2008 Miata Grand Touring car. It is only 2 ltr, but goes like hell! I resolved the Cruise Control issue with new brake bulbs. I don't care how things work, just so long as they do work! Naturally, I will be looking for tips to improve performance without having to mortgage my home. The Best Part is....my wife loves the car.
