Hi- New to this site but been driving my 98 MZ3 as my daily driver for 15 years, with minor mods along the way (Strong-strut, Bilstein sports, Whalen knob, LeatherZ armrest. Stumbled on the site while researching how to fix my passenger seat that is stuck all the way back! (and the fan knob that will NOT come off so I can replace the bulbs)
Been a sports car guy since the 1960's, with Triumphs, Fiats, Morgans, etc.
Glad to be aboard,
Dadmog

Wow, 15 years as a daily driver is awesome! Glad you dropped by as we should be able to start asking you the questions...

Seriously though, a warm welcome from me. I'm sure you have a few pictures you can share with us :)

Hi, and welcome to the forum from the other side of the pond. Frankie
You might have to resort to explosived for the knob, see if it can take a joke!!!!!!!!!!
Just realized now that you weren't from the UK as many members are. I'm from New Jersey myself. Frankie

Thank you all! I believe that I enjoy the MZ3 because it reminds me of the Triumph TR6 that I owned for 10 years...except it is somewhat more reliable. (It is interesting that the rear suspension of a TR6 and Z3 is remarkably similar trailing arms and coil springs.) For those occasions when I need something with less utility than a Z3, I drive a Morgan 4/4 that I have owned for 28 years. The local Z3 club had a Fixit Day (where we all attend to repairs and maintenance on our cars in a local dealer service dept.) at a local dealership in Dallas yesterday that I regretfully missed...because I was at a Morgan Club Fixit Day at a member's house.
Meanwhile, I need to replace my light bulbs for my heater/fan controls, and I cannot remove the fan switch knob with pulling by hand. Any ideas on how to remove it?
All the best,
Dadmog,
Dallas Texas
