OK, send me your real name, home address and home telephone number.
I promise not to buy stamps & envelopes and forward the hand written letters containing the info you send me for use by 3rd Party's.
I promise not to record our phone conversations and put the tape in an envelope with a stamp on it and send it for use by 3rd Party's.
We could become pen pals, like in the old days, and still never meet in person.

You don't really know who I am and I don't really know who you are, even though we correspond using quill and ink.

Just to add, back in the mid 80's even, we did not have PC's on our desks and that was working for the Yanks in the Oil & Gas.
The paper work alone was enough to keep me ''tethered'' to my desk well into the evening, did not want to take any of that home with me thank you very much.
We had a an office secretary/receptionist who would put the post you received in your own 'pigeon hole' and by the time you had finished opening and reading it, it was time for lunch.
Thinking back, the first PC I had on my desk was about back in 1993.

By 1984 I had well over £1.5m of networked desktop computing gear under my control. Bleeding edge technology then. They cost about £100k a pop. It was another year before we got the first IBM PC.
A spreadsheet was still a big A3 pad of paper, a pencil, a rubber and a calculator. People understood numbers then.
One of my colleagues developed one of the first ever voice mail systems. The world might be a better place without those
