Hi All,

Just joined today and hope to be with you for some considerable time.
I have just sold my Dax Rush (lotus Seven replica) and now need another car.
I have always wanted a Z3 so now is the time to go for it. I will be looking for a 2.8 wide body which needs little or no work required. This is going to be the last car I purchase so need the right one.
Not sure if there is any differing types/models of this particular spec I want so please do not hesitate to let me know. I would really appreciate to know if there are any meets/runs up in the north east and more important if anyone is looking to sell their Z3.
Thanks in advance and looking forward to the forum.

Hi and welcome from me in Scotland :welcome:.

The 2.8 has 2 engine variants the earlier single vanos engine and the twin vanos ( tu engine) fitted to last of the pre face-lift model and early face-lift model.
Standard spec is asc ( traction control)
Electric roof and obc ( trip computer)

Stuff your looking for in addition is stuff like air con , sports seats , heated seats, bbs wheels , hardtop.

There are also some limited edition individual models out there but rare not many around.

Cars that have had rear trailing arm and rear subframe bushes done is good.

Plenty of stuff on the forum if you cant find something ask a question someone will point you in the right direction.

As for runs the forthcoming events section will keep you up to speed with upcoming events.

There is a Scottish run open to members who have never been on a Scottish zed run in August ( details in forthcoming events ) this run is south of Scotland.

Stephen.

Hi imports if recently brought over generally good rust wise ( haven't seen a lot of zed 3 import in person but have mot'd a number of other makes again generally rust free can gave issues with split rubber on track rod end noot , balljoint boots etc..
Its usually Japanese import zed 3 you see in Uk so generally all automatic ( so make sure auto for you if go fown this road) a lot have air con as standard but prices are definitely top end .
Just be aware that pretty much any zed 3 thats not had rear subframe bushes fitted will either be needing them or not far away from needing them.
