Hi just bought and picked up a 1997 black z3 with a m52b28.

Pretty standard and basic which is nice. It's dark so no pic.

Just curious now this is a ob1 car right? If so I would need a new scanner plug thing.

Welcome along. You're going to want to get yourself a copy of inpa and a usb to obd1 cable. It's old software but does what you're going to need. I have it working on windows 10, but it was a little bit of faff, but not impossible.

Sounds like I'd need a laptop too oh my.

Car has the orginal radio which is nice. I think I need a screwdriver for the boot.

It sounds nice and original. We will need photos.

There might be simpler obd1 options out there now but inpa is of the correct vintage haha

Here it is. Unusual interior colour combo.

One fault and the only one the radio won't pick up the cd player in the boot. Maybe it isn't plugged in.

Engine bay is clean. Can't find a mechanical or electrical fault beyond the cd player
