Looking to change the Disc and pads all round on the Z4, any recommendations.
Usual deals available from Car parts 4 less and Euro car parts.
Can get Brembo Discs and pads all round for £168 but do like the black coated, vented and drilled by Piranha on E bay?

I love the look of drilled and grooved discs but fear they are "snake oil" :D

Hi Paul
I can highly recomend these from EBC
https://ebcbrakesdirect.com/automotive/bmw/z4/3.0-Si-(E85)-2006-2009/2168#

I've no basis for judging wether the slots make any difference, but they really do stop the car and I've noticed they seem to produce a lot less brake dust than the previous (standard) pads.

I've also noticed that the discs don't seem to get as much surface rust on them, with the previous discs if I didn't drive it for a couple of days there was a fine coating of rust, which dissappeared very quickly, these don't seem to do that.

I had Brembos all round on the Z4 and ended up changing them to Mtec and Green stuff pads as the Brembo only lasted 12 months before brake judder set in when they were warm. Found that out coming down one of the passes in Switzerland with Mozz up me arse =))

Some of the reasons I used EBC pads were they produce very little dust and no noise even under hard braking.

I’ve used Mtec drilled and grooves discs and EBC pads on both my 1.9 and 2.8. Very happy with them

I have such a delicate foot don't really need brakes! but need them for the MOT.
Full wheel arch detail going on with paint and new bits, good background for my shiny wheels

The other thing I would do Paul, maybe even before fitting new discs and pads would be these,

I gave my m-tec discs a couple of coats of Aluminium silver paint before fitting them and it has kept them looking very nice even after 3 years.

The back plates were painted with Massey Ferguson Silver aerosol.

I made my own "Yellow stuff" pads.;)

I bought a 250ml tin of the silver paint and hardly used any, I have loads left so you're welcome to use some if you want?

Tony.

I have bought lots of bits from Autodoc, based in Germany. The selection of parts is excellent and managed to get some rotors for good value. Had a sale on 1st of December for 31% off. Check them out as they also to a bonus scheme.

4 X Brake discs & pads arrived today, poor posty must be the heaviest parcel he's ever delivered, didn't even make it all the way up the street, left them next door.

Second Christmas should be a thing. Enjoy unboxing the bits and hope you got some value.
