Need some help with a Power Roof Conversion

Hi Guys
you may remember my recent post about converting my z3 to a power roof
i need some help
So

i have installed Fuse 1, Oil Lifter, Hoses, Hydraluic Pump, Microswitch and the interior switch

i put CHF (Power Steering Fluid) in the pump filling it to the circle point
I had to re wire the microswitch as the only way to remove from original roof was to snip the plug.
i havnt mounted the pump yet (was testing it worked on my car first)

So to cut it short i can not get the roof to go up and down

Pressing the brake, lifting the roof and pressing the button

Although after i have given it a go if i manually put the roof down it gets stuck half way unless i undo the screw on pump and the same happens if i lift it manually too it gets stuck.

i know the system works as when it was on the old car it worked fine

a couple of things ive been thinking,
1. is there any patacular way the wires need to be on the microswitch?
2. the hoses, Blue and Red, is there any way they need to be fitted? as i cant see anything on the hoses them selves that differs the blue / red.
3. is there anything i have missed?
4. does the system need bleeding or something lol how do i do it?

The screw on the pump is a bypass to allow manual use and not to force fluid through the pump and ram. As for why it ain't working, it could be time to get out the multitester and go through the circuit. Did you try the microswitch before fitting everything, they have been known to fail, might be as simple as that.

everything worked perfecty when it was on the original car the microswitch included

multimeter it is

Micro Switch could still fail. Check everything with a multimeter, could even be a faulty Dash switch.

If you can find a wiring diagram im sure that the safety circuits add earths to the circuit.
I think wiring diagrams may be on here it may help you eliminate wiring issues?

check if your brake lights come on, it could be the brake pedal switch. That is an easy check.
