Hi, I'm new to the group and am hoping you will be able to help me. I have a 2003 2.5 auto Z4 which I really enjoy. Over the years of ownership I've gone through two hood motors, four rear springs and a couple of batteries. Having just had the GM5 module replaced. But I've now got a problem that is proving harder to fix. The car has the SatNav in the top of the dash and the screen flips up on start-up, except it doesn't flip up any more. I think the hinge or slot is broken and now the top (back) is falling off. I've been looking for weeks for a second-hand replacement with no luck. Any recommendations to source a replacement screen would be much appreciated. Thanks - John.

Hi John, welcome from near Lincoln.
Have a look on eBay.com (USA) and see if you can find one on there.
Are you on Z4Forum ? If not it's worth joining to ask on there. Getting one back from the US is easier than you might think.

Tony.

Another option if you're handy is to replace it with a tablet.
Search for it on YouTube.

Tony.

ps. I will add a link later if I have time.

BMW became a mass market car maker in the early noughties. Z3s appeal to those with style and good breeding (and me)!:):)

Wow , that's amazing . . . but unfortunately way, way beyond my abilities. I'll be doing well if I just successfully replace the unit. My main problem is finding a replacement. Any pointers or links to replacement units, breakers or specialists would be a big help. I notice the video link is from a while back, did it ever get completed and become a product or service ?
